The Reviewer, Interviewer, and all the other stuff...
...is a metalist of 44 years of age as of this 2024, the year of gore, and has been banging his head against the stage for over 33 of those years. Yes, he was exposed to the foul altars of death metal at an early age, at roughly 11 years old, with Death's Spiritual Healing, Slayer's Reign in Blood, and soon after that would come You'll Never See... by Grave, Blood Ritual by Samael, Eaten Back to Life and Tomb of the Mutilated by Cannibal Corpse, and The Bowels of Repugnance by Broken Hope. His soul was sold to rock n' roll from that time forward, and the quest to hear as much death metal as possible began. Other kinds of metal catch my interest, but I really only care about death metal. It's my one true love in music (you know, the musical equivalent of necrophilia!).
The rest of the metal resume....
I previously published (yes, asshole, on paper, like it was a magazine) two issues of Metal Union Fanzine, two issues of CULT 'Zine, and I was a reviewer for Monster's World of Metal. Lest ye not regard my musical criticism as worth a fuck, I've spent plenty of time in bands as well over the years, including Halomachine, Riphead, National Collapse, and The Rut.
Ominous Vomit will cover...
...all things death fucking metal. Whether the ancient ways of the metal of death, modern deathcore, technical death metal, doom-death, death-thrash, melodic death metal, technical death metal, brutal death metal, slam, black death, or whateverthefuck death metal, it'll get covered in these slime-drenched digital pages. No punches will be pulled, some dreams will be crushed, something you like will probably get shit on, but death metal doesn't care, so fuck you. If you're in a band and see a bad review here, it's one fucking person's opinion. I think Taylor Swift is shit, but millions of people love her music. It's all down to taste, so don't get all butthurt if I slam your record like an Internal Bleeding riff.
Submissions are....
....awesome. I love getting information about new bands, especially if you play some goddamn death metal. That's the only thing I cover, so if you submit another kind of metal, thanks in advance, and I'll check it out at some point. But it won't get covered. Just DEATH. FUCKING. METAL. Hit me up through the Contact form on the main page, then fuck off. I'll get back to you with a review if I decide to cover your album. If you want to send me a physical copy, I WILL ALWAYS COVER WHAT GETS PHYSICALLY SENT TO ME. That requires not only time and monetary investment by the band or label, but I'm someone who also still buys music on LP, CD, and cassette. A lot. All the time. I'll listen to any format. As long as it's death metal. Seriously, sending me power metal isn't going to get you anywhere.
