5/10 CRUSHED FUCKING SKULLS
This is the first EP from this Pennsylvania band. It's not bad for a debut, testing the waters of death metal. They play 1990s style death metal with heaps of groove and decent songwriting. It boasts a clean, heavy, slick even, production with all instruments perfectly audible and well-engineered. As a first outing it's ok, but I'm not sold on the band yet. They songs are lacking a bit in intensity and power, which is mainly down to the riffs being a bit simple and underdeveloped. I'll wait and see if this band releases more to see if there's an improvement - the bones are good, but the meat needs worked on. They do have a great name and logo, that's for sure!
