If there's a CD or LP or tape version of this, I don't know about it, and can't find any links to it. I'll say it again - bands, please arrange some form of limited physical release. I'd love to own this in a physical format of some kind.
Arriving with a hefty dose of humor, Caveman Attack bring their caveman fetish and dinosaur training tips once more, and it's a hell of a fun ride. Rooted in solidly performed goregrind, complete with vocals that echo up the pipes your toilet's attached to, the simplistic riffs and driving inertia of the music help this to stand out, even if it is a comedy act. The songs are well-written, and well-performed, and the recording itself is relatively flawless, but not flat, and it adds to the power of the band.
The samples scattered throughout killed me, as well as the song titles, including "Being Caveman is the Law," "Big Pile of Dinosaur Shit," "Bluaarrrgh," and "Rumble in the Cave." The addition of bongo drums here and there is also fuckin' funny, the real cherry on top of the shit sundae they give us. The entire record rides that line between comedy and a band serious enough to deliver a good record. Are they the Spinal Tap of goregrind? Probably. Do I mind? No.
The minute this has a physical version, I'm buying it. It's that good. The art itself is awesome, and just screams primitive and barbaric. It's actually what drew me to them in the first place. I'll be watching for more releases from this band, and will be tracking down previous releases.
