Bound to Prevail from Malta play a mixture of classic Floridian death metal and modern brutal death metal. There's quite a bit of technicality here, blended seamlessly with the brutality. It reminds me of death metal from the early 2000s when the brutal scene was dominating and more diverse. The riffs are reminiscent of Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Monstrosity, and Suffocation, and countrymates Beheaded. Along with Beheaded this is one of the only metal bands I know of from Malta. The vocals are somewhat similar to Dying Fetus and Suffocation, and similar vocal patterns are used. This is pretty good stuff, and definitely worth checking out if you like true brutal death metal with no trends!
