7/10 CRUSHED FUCKING SKULLS
This is the seventh full length of this venerable Ecuadorian act. They play fairly technical brutal death metal that focuses on speed and brutality. This is real brutal death metal with no current trendy garbage in it. The vocals are super-low gutturals without resorting to either pig squeals or any of the other weaker styles of coals. There are also clearly well-thought-out vocal patterns present and they let the music breathe by ceasing occasionally. They're very much in the Matti Way/Disgorge school. The production is perfect and natural sounding, not completely and overly loud like a lot of other bands. There are actual songs here, as well, not just collection of brutal riffs. There are plenty of nods to true death metal in the riffing - this is very much an old-school brutal death metal record. Recommended highly for fans of the style.
