I love the South American scene, especially Chile, where Horrifying are from. So many of the bands are absolutely aggressive and bestial. Horrifying plays strong, evil-sounding death metal that reminds me of Sadistic Intent and perhaps a touch of Morbid Angel. This is a very mature outing for a first full length, but it was twelve years in the making, with their first demo arriving in 2012. It has a solid production that is very natural sounding and isn't too loud, letting all the instruments breathe properly. The guitar solos are frantic affairs that remind me of Slayer in no small way. The riffs are well-constructed, memorable, and aggressive, dragging the listener to straight into hell with no escape. I recommend this for true deathfiends that want their death metal well-written and uncompromising in its approach.
