This is the first and only release from this Cannibal Corpse worshipping two-man project. Even the programmed drums mimic Cannibal's style, as well as the guitar sound. The vocals attempt to deliver a Chris Barnes-like performance, but simply aren't up to the task. They need a new vocalist - it's a below average job done here. He just sounds tired and forced. With the right vocals this could be great. The songwriting and riffing is good, and they're able to put together decent songs, there is no denying that. "Hydraulic Press Crusher" sees them veer away from total Cannibal worship for the first time on the record, into something of their own, and it's good. The baseline Cannibal sound is there, but the riffs are more original. It's still firmly in the camp of 1990s death metal. The rest of the record veers back and forth between Cannibal worship and their own style of death metal, and it's much better for it. This is worth checking out if you love bands that perform in the style of other bands, or are just looking for competent death metal.
